Ryder and Trace meet and connect in a way neither man ever expected. I love the idea of arranged marriages where the people involved fall in love…great concept, well told story. They were so hot that’s why it totally guts me that the first one wasn’t on page…I’m thinking it would have been out of this world. I will confess that this author can write a hell of a sex scene. At times the interactions between Ryder and Trace were repetitive and I’ll admit to skimming some content here and there. This is one of those stories that contain elements that should have made this book a homerun for me, but just fell flat. I think if the initial connection, where both men “fell in love” was on page I may have been more invested in the story and the characters. I was disappointed in the beginning when we didn’t get to experience the first time these two characters were together. With all things there were elements I really liked and there were things I really didn’t like.

This was my first book by this author and I liked this story. He just has to get this whole absurd wedding out of the way first and ignore how happy Ryder makes him feel. Taking control in the only way he can, Trace agrees to marry Ryder, but secretly plots to double deal both his father and Ryder.
